Tuna fishing trips

Tuna means speed. The reel screams, line disappears, and you quickly understand why so many anglers get hooked on this fish.

In Spain's Ebro Delta, you can fish for bluefin tuna from April to October. In the Indian Ocean and Asia, you can fish for yellowfin and dogtooth tuna, often combining it with popping for GT, while in Rodrigues, the focus is on heavy jigging for dogtooth tuna.

Blåfenad tonfisk. Ebrodeltat från april till oktober, eller med Tajtlajn på deras hosted trip.

Dogtooth tuna. Rodrigues och Hawkins Bank, även som hosted trip med Douglas Dahlberg. Dogtooth finns också vid Andamanerna, Komodo och Seychellerna.

Yellowfin och annan tonfisk. Oman, Maldiverna och Costa Rica, där tonfisken ofta kommer som bonus till GT eller sailfish.

När fiskar man tonfisk?

I Ebrodeltat går säsongen från april till oktober. Rodrigues fiskas året runt med högsäsong från november till maj, och på Maldiverna fiskar vi från september till april.

Vad är skillnaden på blåfenad tonfisk och dogtooth tuna?

Blåfenad tonfisk jagar fritt i öppet vatten och fiskas i Ebrodeltat i Medelhavet. Dogtooth tuna står längs djupa revkanter i tropiska hav och fiskas oftast med tung jigg.

Vilken utrustning behövs?

Kraftiga spön och rullar, grov flätlina och tafs. Vi har packlistor och prylguider under Artiklar & guider, och utrustningen vi själva använder längre ner på sidan.

Finns det resor med reseledare?

Ja, Tajtlajn leder en hosted trip till Ebrodeltat och Douglas Dahlberg en till Rodrigues.

Can I travel alone on a fishing trip with Outside Travels?

Yes, traveling alone is perfectly fine. Many of our guests travel on their own and fish together in small groups.
