Frequently Asked Questions about our Sea Fishing Trips

What is usually included in a trip with Outside Travels?

A trip with Outside Travels is a complete travel package where fishing, accommodation, guides, and logistics are seamlessly integrated. You can focus on the fishing while we handle the planning and execution.

In addition to pre-arranged packages, we can also customize fishing trips based on your wishes, regardless of destination, fishing method, or experience level. The goal is always the same: a smooth fishing trip without surprises and with full focus on the experience.

Are flights always included?

Flights are included as standard in our complete travel packages, unless you request otherwise. We book flights that suit the travel arrangements and ensure that times, transfers, and fishing work smoothly together.

If you prefer to book your flight yourself or travel from a specific location, we will tailor the trip to your wishes. Regardless of the arrangement, Outside Travels ensures that your fishing trip is easy, safe, and without surprises.

Can I customize a trip?

Yes, absolutely. All our fishing trips can be tailored to your wishes.

We adapt the trip, destination, fishing method, accommodation, and itinerary based on how you want to fish and travel. Whether you want to travel alone, with friends, or in a small group, Outside Travels ensures that your fishing trip is perfect for you.

Can I go alone on a spinning fishing trip?

Yes, it's perfectly fine to travel alone on a spinning fishing trip.

Many of our guests travel on their own and fish together in smaller groups. This creates a relaxed atmosphere and gives you plenty of time with the fishing guide and on the water, regardless of your experience level.

Is a fishing guide included on sea fishing trips?

Normally, a fishing guide is not included in our sea fishing trips. Most of our sea fishing camps are set up for self-guided trips with a rental boat, where you plan your fishing yourself.

If you wish to book a guide, it is of course possible to add one, and you can choose how many guided days you want. We will help you tailor the arrangement to your experience and your goals for the trip.

What are the rules for fishing trips to Norway, and how does taking fish home work?

When sea fishing in Norway, no fishing license is required for saltwater, but there are clear rules regarding minimum sizes, protected species, and how much fish may be exported from the country. Norway has an established export quota for how much fish a tourist may take home, and this applies when fishing through a registered tourist fishing facility, which our partners are.

Catches must be reported according to Norwegian regulations and this is a natural part of the setup on site. Regulations can be updated over time, so we always ensure that you receive up-to-date information before your trip.

We at Outside Travels will help you with all the details regarding regulations, quotas, and practical questions so that you can feel secure and focus on fishing.
